Travel to Costa Rica

 

The most convenient way to reach Costa Rica is by air, and International flights into San José arrive at San José's Juan Santamaria international airport.

If you are planning to visit Guanacaste flights arrive into the Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia.

Liberia is 217km (135mi) northwest of San José, and is situated for good access to the beaches in Guanacaste.

There are excellent connections to US and Canadian cities and also several European and South American countries.

There is a departure tax of around US$17 on international flights

Commercial international flights to Costa Rica currently operate out of the Juan Santamaría International Airport, (located ten miles from downtown San José), and the Daniel Oduber International airport in Liberia, Guanacaste.
