Monteverde is one the most interesting places in Costa Rica and is very popular for both foreign and local visitors. There are actually two Montverde's one is a small community that was that was founded by a small group of Quakers. The other is a cloud forest reserve, which lies adjacent to the community.

The monteverde (literaly "green mountain) is an area of forest in Costa Rica which boast outstanding natural beauty. The rain forest has an elevation of four thousand feet and is consequently in the clouds and appears to be cloudy all the time.

The hanging bridges are suspended in the canopy of the rain forests up to 120 feet above the forest floor. You will navigate your way through the forest (and clouds) on the bridges giving you a truley unique experience. The elevation will provide one of the best ways to see more than you could ever possibly see by staying on the ground in the rain forest.

You will also experience a delightful day viewing much of the best that Costa Rica has to offer. Many thousands of tourists flock to Monteverde as it is recognised as one of the countries very best places for bird viewing is at the Monteverde Cloud Forest. The Monteverde Cloud Forest is a draw for serious birders who want to view and study the unique resident bird population. The cloud forest is also an excellent choice for the more casual bird spotter to visit due to its abundance of exotic species including the many different species hummingbirds and resplendant quetzals.

You will also spend time at many scenic locations viewing the outstanding beauty of the Monteverde Cloud Forest National Park where you will experience an exhilarating day. You will need to bring plenty of extra camera film on this tour!
