Costa Rica is an undiscovered divers delight with its islands, reefs, caves and rocks which lie within its tropical costal waters. Explore the Costa Rican underwate coast line in water temperatures that range from 21C to 29C (70 to 85F). A 1/8th inch wetsuit is therefore generally sufficient and will be provided to you along with the rest of the equipment you will need for your diving trip.
Depending on the time of the year will influence where and how you dive. The dry season runs from November to April but can be very windy. From May to November is the rainy season when hammerhead sharks sightting can be more frequent. May is a good time to diveas it shouldn't be too windy or wet. The best diving is on the Pacific coast, particularly in the Northwest.
The best time to dive in Guanacaste (the northwest region on the Pacific coast) is during the Green Season (June to November) because the water is calmer and warmer than during the Dry Season. You are also more likely to see the marine life.
If you are an experienced diver or if you wish to learn Costa Rica is an excellent choice for your diving trip. If you wish to take advantage of this once in a lifetime experience, please contact me to arrange your diving trip.
